Overall Evaluation of Self Development, Meditation and Empowerment Workshop

This course has the WOW factor. An excellent session led by an enthusiastic and dynamic tutor, who clearly understands her learners, their needs and the pace at which to run the session. Plenty of checks for learning and obvious transfer of learning outside of class. Tutor is encouraging and motivating, both in her feedback and her development of the session. All learners were engaged and well motivated, in fact there was an air of excitement about what was being undertaken in the class from beginning to end.

Deborah’s Meditation and Empowerment course is unique and great fun. What is Meditation for me? From the Lifestyle balance and Meditation class

It relaxes me deeply, stills my mind and provides an oasis of peace and tranquillity in a hectic lifestyle.  I allow time for me and what my real needs are - real indulgences!   The deep and calming relaxation techniques that Deborah uses, help me to re-energise, not just on a physical level, but also to 'cleanse' my mind of all the rushed, hurried thoughts that usually accompany me.   I usually emerge from the class feeling somewhat shinier, as though I've been polished from within!

When I'm having trouble sleeping, the relaxation techniques help me to drift off into easy slumber.

If I'm ill, the Vitality CD helps me to relax to the extent that my body is given a better opportunity to heal and get better faster.

However, the meditation classes go beyond just pure relaxation - I'm much more aware of how my thoughts and words are forming my actions and attracting attitudes, people and things into my life.   It's much more about mind training and how we can shape and create our own futures - it's pretty powerful stuff!  It's about giving yourself the best self-development tool possible - your own self-determination.

Confidence Building Workshop

Before I came to this class I had much less confidence and I feared talking to people, I used to cry before I spoke to them. Now I feel that I can control my emotions and I have the confidence that I feel I can do anything. It is going to change my life. (Female 30’s)

I found it useful to be in a class with others who had the same lack of confidence as me, now I know I’m not the only one! I feel that the course has provided me with the tools I need to develop my confidence and become the person I want to be. (male 30s)

Really encouraging, hopefully I will use these tools to work out what I want from life and how to gain it (female 20s)

This has been really helpful and encouraging. I feel able to engage the positive thought tools to help me to be more confident. I hope I can harness just a little of Deborah’s energy and enthusiasm!

I found the 'appreciation meditation' that we did today really effective and positive for me as I experienced a rush of past enjoyable events and positive thoughts about people in my life flood into my mind at the times when you prompted us to do so. Also, for the first time since the class started (week 6) I also managed to keep focused all the way through the mediation as previously I found it hard to keep my mind still and concentrate as it jumps from one subject to another. Thanks Liz

I loved the hypno sessions/meditations and the fact that I can anchor these feelings into my body in a very physical way. My biggest thought is that I can take control. I really enjoyed the day, I feel so calm and relaxed now’.
